Sun Hung Kai Properties has announced that it will name the residents’ clubhouse in its prestigious Imperial Cullinan, waterfront development in southwest Kowloon, Club Vendôme. The name echoes Place Vendôme, a luxury shopping district in Paris and was announced amid great fanfare after a opening performance by the famous Les FarFadais circus troupe from France at Central Pier No 4.

Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency Executive Director Victor Lui said: "The developer is investing approximately HK$500 million to create the prestigious 100,000-square-foot Club Vendôme and landscaped garden. It is named after Place Vendôme where top jewellers cluster, to reflect the world-class facilities and service it will offer, including an exclusive access to the 230,000-square-foot waterfront promenade and public area. Club Vendôme will glisten like a jewel with floor-to-ceiling windows and smooth contours, offering a panoramic view of the harbour at Imperial Cullinan."

Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency Senior Sales and Marketing Manager Allen Woo said: "Club Vendôme will have an exquisite architectural design and interiors, like an exceptional twin to Club d’Oro at The Cullinan. It will have floor-to-ceiling windows and crystal decorations. Residents will also have the Director Vendôme, a private event space on the coast with an outdoor pool, garden and banquet hall that will be perfect for entertaining guests with gourmet food and breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour."

The Club Vendôme announcement by Victoria Harbour costed HK$5 million to stage and featured a performance by Les FarFadais, which has toured the US, mainland China, Japan and Germany. The centrepiece was acrobats emerging from a giant marquee dancing like mermaids by the majestic Club Vendôme under dazzling fireworks against the harbour.
