SHKP’s Shanghai IFC and ICC win three CRIC awards

05-08-2011

Shanghai International Finance Centre (Shanghai IFC) and Shanghai International Commerce Centre (Shanghai ICC) developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) won three CRIC (China Real Estate Information Corporation) awards for their planning, design and green features; being named one of Shanghai’s Top-10 Landmarks, a Future City Landmark and a Low Carbon Footprint Office.

The awards were based on the results of an online poll held between May 10 and June 20 through social networking sites weibo at ydc.sina.com.cn and office.sina.com.cn, with the support of CRIC, the China Real Estate Research Association and China Property Management Institution.  Candidates were voted on by Internet users, tenants and media representatives and the winners were selected by professionals and scholars.

Shanghai IFC was named one of Shanghai’s Top-10 Landmarks and a Low Carbon Footprint Office for its superior quality, amenities and services, and it was one of the first office developments in Shanghai to get Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design gold pre-certification from the US Green Building Council.  Shanghai ICC won a Future City Landmark award for its premium facilities, outstanding business planning and prime location.

SHKP (Shanghai) Commercial Leasing Director Rick Man was very pleased with the awards, saying: “SHKP is committed to building quality commercial and residential developments in Hong Kong and on the mainland.  We use our extensive experience in Hong Kong to develop landmark projects in prime mainland cities.  Our major Shanghai IFC and Shanghai ICC projects have exceptional quality and amenities to cater to leading global companies, and these awards are further recognition of that.  We will work to maintain our leading role in the industry.”
