Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) set up the SHKP G Power initiative to promote environmental protection.  A recent summer workshop introduced Hong Kong’s unique ecology in fun, interactive games to encourage staff and their children to spend a green summer together and discover the wonders of nature.

SHKP organizes various Love Nature activities to raise public awareness and promote an appreciation for the environment.  Staff and their children learned about Hong Kong’s great outdoors through role-playing, quizzes and fun story-telling in an educational workshop with green experts.  The event helped develop a sense of eco-friendliness in the youngsters with participants imitating rare animals like the white dragontail, black-faced spoonbill and Romer's tree frog in their habitats.

SHKP also extends its green initiatives to the community by engaging staff, primary students and teachers in a number of beach clean ups.  They collected and separated nearly 7,000 kg of waste in Lung Kwu Tan, Sha Chau and Lung Kwu Chau in Tuen Mun and Shui Hau Wan in South Lantau.
