SHKP staff and primary students in Love Nature Campaign beach clean up

03/09/12

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) staged a number of beach and country park clean up events and collected nearly 4,300 kg of rubbish in its Love Nature campaign.  It also sponsored interactive educational kits and green seminars to promote environmental protection.  The developer consolidates its green efforts under the SHKP G Power banner to encourage employees and the public to appreciate nature.

The most recent event had nearly 200 SHKP volunteers and their family members and students, parents and teachers from six primary schools cleaning Lung Kwu Tan in Tuen Mun.  Past events were at Lung Kwu Tan, Sha Chau and Lung Kwu Chau in Tuen Mun and Shui Hau Wan in South Lantau.  Volunteers collected nearly 4,300 kg of rubbish in total.

SHKP also sponsored the production of interactive educational kits by a green group for primary school students and staff members’ children and a summer course with multi-media resources to teach children about marine ecology in a fun way.
