Property management subsidiaries Hong Yip and Kai Shing under Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) won multiple honours in the 2011 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence, including gold for Grand Century Place.  SHKP consistently practices environmental management, and this was the fourth consecutive year that one of its developments took top honours.

SHKP has earned a reputation for outstanding green management and it took five honours in the 2011 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence, including gold for the Grand Century Place shopping arcade and office towers and certificates of merit for Pristine Villa, Grand Central Plaza, Manhattan Hill and The Leighton Hill in the property management category.  The developer previously won gold awards for Park Island, Millennium City, Metroplaza and Kowloon Commerce Centre.

The awards were given out by 11 organizations including the Environmental Campaign Committee, Environmental Protection Department, Advisory Council on the Environment and Business Environmental Council.  They are meant to encourage businesses and organizations to adopt green management and innovation.  Comprehensive assessments were carried out by a panel of judges based on environmental leadership, partnership, planning and achievement.
