SHKP enlists over 200 developments for Earth Hour

30/03/12

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) places great emphasis on environmental conservation and supports a wide range of eco events including the global Earth Hour for the fourth year running.  SHKP has one of the highest participation rates among developers, with over 200 developments switching off the lights for one hour this Saturday (March 31).

Hong Kong’s tallest building International Commerce Centre and Hong Kong’s first  office development to achieve LEED gold certification, Kowloon Commerce Centre, will switch off the lights for an hour this Saturday in support of the WWF Earth Hour event. Other participating SHKP developments include Sun Hung Kai Centre, International Finance Centre, Central Plaza, APM, Grand Century Place, WTC More and Park Island.

SHKP follows international green guidelines and works closely with environmental groups.  The SHKP G Power campaign engages staff, residents and tenants in eco events, such as the Power Smart Contest, Take a “Brake” Low Carbon Action and Hong Kong Carfree Day, to address climate change and other environmental issues.

The Group believes in Building Homes with Heart and extends the SHKP G Power initiatives to the vast property portfolio it administers, with varied green activities to encourage people to be eco-friendly every day and make the Earth a better place for everyone.  Visit www.shkpGpower.com to learn more about SHKP G Power.
