Green YOHO Town

The goals set by YOHO Town of 'participation by all YOHO people, complying with obligations, implementing with heart and improving with time' were applauded by the competition judges. The YOHO Environmental Protection Team devises ecological programmes and activities. The estate rewards residents for participating in green activities with discounts of meals in the clubhouse. Activities like the Green Tour, Green Swapper, Green Interactive, YOHO Green Farm are popular with residents. The estate has also organized larger activities for the community such as a No Plastic Bag Day, Lunar New Year Gift Collection campaign and organic farming to promote green living.

Natural Park Island

Park Island has extensive greenery and its green management initiatives appeal to residents, including reprocessing food waste into fertilizer and events like green carnivals, second-hand bazaar and green fashion design competition and waste reduction and recycling activities. Energy-saving lights in common areas reduce power consumption by approximately 20%.

Waste and energy saving at 1 Homantin Hill

Energy-saving lighting at 1 Homantin Hill helps reduce power consumption and special insulating for the outdoor swimming pool keeps the water comfortable. Other measures include waste separation stations on each floor and collecting rechargeable batteries, books and DVDs in the clubhouse for recycling. Toys and clothes are collected and donated to charities during festive occasions.

Energy saving at New Tech Plaza

New Tech Plaza has had Light Eco energy-saving lighting since 2002. It reduces power consumption by 20% and did not require a major retrofit. Sensor-controlled lights in the four-storey car park save energy while large windows let in plenty of daylight. Regular green seminars, exhibitions and related activities help enhance awareness among customers and staff.

Creative measures at Millennium City

Millennium City 1, 2 & 3 support conservation, using innovative techniques to save energy. The management company’s tricolour recycling scheme boosts the collection rate by 25%. The management company staged various activities that have proved highly popular among tenants in the last year.
