Sun Hung Kai Properties won 2012 Green Building Awards for Millennium City 1 – Green City and Landmark North.  The developer incorporates sustainability in every aspect of business and produces premium developments in accordance with green building principles.
 
The biennial awards are given out by the Hong Kong Green Building Council and Professional Green Building Council to promote sustainable design, construction, management and maintenance.  This year’s winners were selected from outstanding projects in Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan, Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan and Singapore.
 
Millennium City 1 – Green City won a Grand Award (existing building – Hong Kong: facilities management) for successfully engaging tenants and the community in a wide range of eco initiatives with a Green Certificate scheme.  Landmark North has had a green committee since 2007, and it was awarded a certificate of merit (existing building – Hong Kong: completed building) for its long-term commitment to promoting environmental protection among local customers and mainland visitors.
